Born 1950 in Vienna. Flatischler completed studies at the University of Music and Performing Arts in Vienna and started his career as a classical concert pianist.

Flatischler is the founder of the TaKeTiNa rhythm process, which today is used in education, therapy and performance worldwide. “TaKeTiNa” rhythm process was developed in 1970.
Founder of the legendary MegaDrums group, in which he composed for and performed with some of the best musicians of our time, such as Zakir Hussain, Airto Moreira, Glen Velez, Leonard Eto (KODO), Samulnori and Milton Cardona, to name just a few.

Flatischler’s unique work bridges the domains of performance, education, therapy, coaching, high-end performance and meditation practices. With his compositions and his educational approach, Flatischler has fundamentally influenced the European drums and percussion scene. The media repeatedly describes him as the “ambassador of the global language of rhythm.” Flatischlers CDs and books (e. g. Rhythm for Evolution, Schott) won several awards and are regarded as standard music literature.
