Die Geschichte und Philosophie des alten China spiegelt sich an jeder Ecke der \u201eVerbotenen Stadt\u201c in Peking wider und reflektiert sich auch in der Haltung und Ethik vieler Menschen, die ich bei meinem ersten Besuch in China kennenlernte. \u201eSupreme Harmony\u201c und \u201eBalance\u201c sind Werte, die leicht zu verstehen sind. \u201eTu nichts, w\u00e4hrend du alles tust\u201c \u2013 eine Kalligrafie, die ein sehr sachkundiger K\u00fcnstler f\u00fcr mich gemalt hat, ist ein bisschen mysteri\u00f6ser und braucht eine tiefere Introspektion. Es war der Moment, als er die Kalligrafie fertiggestellt hatte, wo mir bewusst wurde, wie viel TaKeTiNa und der alte Geist Chinas gemeinsam haben. Das Verschmelzen von \u201eWillenskraft\u201c, w\u00e4hrend Dinge \u201eeinfach passieren\u201c k\u00f6nnen, ist der Zustand der \u201e\u00dcberwindung der Dichotomie der Polarit\u00e4t\u201c, der im Zentrum von TaKeTiNa steht.<\/p>\n

Es ist eine gro\u00dfe Ehre, einen Workshop f\u00fcr Studenten der ber\u00fchmten \u201eBeijing Dance Academy\u201c zu veranstalten. Gleichfalls ist es bereichernd f\u00fcr die dort ans\u00e4ssige Firma \u201eEurovista\u201c zu arbeiten, die gro\u00dfe Events und Bildungsveranstaltungen in China veranstaltet.<\/p>\n

Das wahre Erstaunen begann jedoch, als Tupac Mantilla, der in einer Session die Surdo-Trommel spielte, und ich die Kurse begannen. Noch nie haben wir eine Gruppe erlebt, die so vielschichtige und komplexe Rhythmusstrukturen so schnell erfassen und manifestieren konnte. Alle Teilnehmer brachten eine tief verwurzelte Neugier und eine intensive Entschlossenheit mit in die Kurse hinein, um die vielen Herausforderungen der musikalischen und menschlichen Entwicklungsaufgaben, die TaKeTiNa bietet, zu meistern.<\/p>\n

Es war der Wunsch zu sp\u00fcren, die Qualit\u00e4ten aufzunehmen, die TaKeTiNa manifestieren kann, sowie die sofortige Erkenntnis der M\u00f6glichkeiten des tiefen, energetisierenden Geistes, die TaKeTiNa normalerweise \u00f6ffnet. Es gab jedoch auch eine konstante Grundbelastung, die von Anfang an sp\u00fcrbar war. Chinesische Musiker, T\u00e4nzer und K\u00fcnstler m\u00fcssen im Allgemeinen auf einer t\u00e4glichen Ebene konkurrieren und sind deshalb immer bem\u00fcht. Das hat zwei Seiten: Die positive ist die unerbittliche Ausdauer, Belastbarkeit und die Erfolge, die ein solcher Lebensstil erm\u00f6glicht. Die negative Seite ist jedoch eine Denkweise, die eher darauf ausgerichtet ist, das n\u00e4chste Ereignis zu meistern, als sich der Intervalle zwischen diesen Ereignissen bewusst zu sein.<\/p>\n

In der ersten TaKeTiNa-Reise brauchte die Gruppe nur ein paar Minuten, um das Tempo zu verdoppeln. Es f\u00fchlte sich an wie der Tanz eines Drachen, der nicht wei\u00df, wie er seine Kraft nutzen soll. Es gab Situationen, in denen die Gruppe den Call-Response-Gesang immer wieder in eine eskalierende Wiederholung desselben Anrufs trieb, ohne den Raum zu finden, um die n\u00e4chste Melodie zu h\u00f6ren. Aber auch dieser Moment war gef\u00fcllt mit tiefen Grooves und enormer Kraft. Es dauerte drei Tage \u201erhythmischen Ringen\u201c, um die Gruppe schlie\u00dflich zu einem konstanten langsamen Tempo von sieben Schl\u00e4gen pro Zyklus zu bringen. W\u00e4hrend tiefe Meditationen ihre Wirkung zeigten, befreite sich die Gruppe von Stress und Druck, die Teilnehmer dr\u00fcckten Dankbarkeit aus und von diesem Moment an verbanden sich musikalische Intelligenz, physische, mentale und emotionale Kraft mit Stille und Balance. Ein chinesisches Kernprinzip manifestiert sich auf unerwartete Weise. So viel Lernen auf beiden Seiten.<\/p>\n

Alle waren so begeistert von dieser neuen Art zu lernen, dass Eurovista bereits an einer TaKeTiNa-Tour 2018 durch Shanghai, Peking und andere gro\u00dfe St\u00e4dte in China arbeitet. China ruft und es ist unglaublich aufregend \u201emit dem Drachen zu tanzen\u201c. \u00a0<\/p>\n

The history and philosophy of ancient China is met on every corner of Beijing\u2019s \u201cForbidden City\u201d. It is also reflected in the attitude and ethics of many people I encountered during my first visit to China. \u201cSupreme Harmony\u201d and \u201cBalance\u201d, are values that can be easily understood. \u201cDo nothing while you do everything\u201d \u2013 a calligraphy that a very knowledgeable artist painted for me is a bit more mysterious and needs deeper introspection. It was the moment that the calligraphy was finished that I realized how much TaKeTiNa and the ancient spirit of China have in common. The merging of \u2018willpower\u2019 while allowing things to \u2018just happen\u2019 is that very state of \u201ctranscending the dichotomy of polarity\u201d, that is at the core of TaKeTiNa.<\/p>

Running a workshop for students at the famous \u201cBeijing Dance Academy\u201d is a honour, and working for \u201cEurovista\u201d, a company that sets up major performances and educational events in China is equally rewarding.<\/p>

The real astonishment begun however when Tupac Mantilla, who came to play the surdo drum in a session, and I started the classes. Never before have we experienced any group, that was able to comprehend and manifest multilayered and complex rhythm structures so fast. All participants brought a deep rooted curiosity to the classes and also an intense determination to master the many challenges of the musical and human developmental tasks that TaKeTiNa provides.<\/p>

There was a tangible desire to take onboard the qualities TaKeTiNa is able to manifest, and also an instant recognition of the possibilities of the deep, energising mind states that TaKeTiNa usually opens. However there was also a constant underlying stress that could be felt from the onset. Chinese musicians, dancers and artists in general need to compete on a daily level and therefore they are always striving. That has two sides: the positive one is the relentless stamina, resilience and the achievements such a lifestyle facilitates. The negative side however is a mindset that is rather focused on mastering the next event rather then being aware of the intervals in between these events.<\/p>

In the first TaKeTiNa journey it took the group just a couple of minutes to push the tempo to double-time. It felt like the dance of a dragon that doesn\u2019t know how to use his power. There were situations in which the group drove Call-Response singing into an escalating repetition of just the same call over and over again, without finding the space to listen to the next melody. Even this moment however was filled with deep grooves and tremendous power. It took three days of \u201crhythmic wrestling\u201d to finally bring the group down to a constant slow tempo of a seven beats a cycle. As deep meditations had their effect, the group was freeing itself from stress and pressure, participants expressed gratitude and from this moment, musical intelligence, physical, mental and emotional power merged with stillness and balance. A Chinese core principal manifested in an unexpected way. So much learning on both sides.<\/p>

Everyone has been so excited about this new way of learning that Eurovista is already working on a 2018 TaKeTiNa tour through Shanghai, Beijing and other major cities in China. China is calling and it is incredible exciting to dance with the dragon.<\/p>
